The wrench symbol is usually accompanied by a code found on the panel where the copy count is displayed. This code can signify a simple paper jam.

You can usually clear these Di450 error codes by performing the recommended action:
- 143F: Open and close the front panel to reset the machine and clear this false ADF code.
- COF33: Open and close the front panel to reset the machine, then press the toner replenisher key.
- CO900: Ensure that the correct size paper is in the paper drawer.
- 13XXX: Open and close the front panel to reset the machine. (This also applies to Di550 copiers.)
You can usually clear these EP4000 error codes by performing the recommended action:
- COO70: Replace toner.
- CO200: Open and close the front panel to reset the machine.
- Cob19: Indicates staple jam.
- Cob31: Pull sorter away from copier to reset the machine.
You can usually clear these EP6000 error codes by performing the recommended action:
- COOO: Indicates a paper jam in fuser. Open clam shell and check for paper.
- CO072: Indicates toner was added. Open and close the front panel to reset the machine.
