Find out how to pay for prints and copies in all UCSD libraries.
Note: Campus ID cards have replaced copy cards in all UCSD libraries. Follow instructions below to set yours up.
How to use your campus ID card/ IAccess
The new IAccess system allows you to pay for copies and prints in the libraries using your campus ID card to charge either a personal account or index number. See this list of frequently asked questions (PDF) for more information about how it works, or manage your account at iaccess.ucsd.edu.
Campus ID cards and IAccess guest cards initially have a default personal identification number, or PIN, of 1111. For increased security, change your PIN at iaccess.ucsd.edu.
Faculty and staff can charge:
- Their personal account:
- Prepay at any IAccess loader machine (find locations below)
- Authorized index numbers:
- Index numbers already associated with campus ID cards and department copy cards will be recognized immediately on the library system, with no action required
- To associate an index number with your ID, your departmental financial manager must submit this authorization form (PDF). The manager can opt to add a dollar limit on recharge activity, in increments of 10 cents. The amount deducted for each side copied will depend on the machine (see chart below).
