Steelcase, a UC-contracted furniture supplier, also offers reconfiguration of existing office spaces and furnishings.

Note: Use Marketplace, UCSD's online buying site to order Steelcase from BKM or STORE if your department has access.

  • If you're not sure that your department has access, check the list of departments and representatives (Excel) to find out.
  • If your department is listed, you can go directly to Marketplace and start shopping. If you can't find the item you want, contact the UC Call Center, (877) 722-9090 for assistance.

If your workspace could be improved by rearranging the furnishings, you can contact Steelcase for expert reconfiguration services. These services include but are not limited to:
  • Taking an inventory of existing furnishings
  • Designing a new arrangement for the workspace
  • Disassembling existing furniture
  • Moving furniture out of the workspace if necessary
  • Reinstalling the furniture
Charges for reconfiguration services:
  • Reconfiguration of existing furniture exceeds 10% of the total project budget
    $67/hour
  • Reconfiguration is based on the design of a non-BKM designer
    $67/hour
  • Design planning and preparation
    $67/hour
  • Installation services only
    $44/hour
