The information on this page provides background and guidelines for purchasing outdoor and patio furniture.

Note: Use Marketplace, UCSD's online buying site to order furniture items from BKM if your department has access.

Outdoor and patio furniture includes but is not limited to patio tables, chairs, benches, umbrellas, trash receptacles, and bike racks. See below to find suppliers of these items.

Buyer tip: Outdoor furniture for UCSD should be suitable for industrial use such as products constructed from powder-coated aluminum, cast iron, concrete, or fiberglass. Household-type items such as plastic or resin are not recommended. Your primary concerns are safety and durability.
