Buyer Tips: STORE (Dell Computers)

Find out how to buy Dell computers from STORE.

Note: Use Marketplace UCSD's online buying site to order Dell products if your department has access.

• If you're not sure that your department has access, check the list of departments and representatives (Excel) to find out. If your department is listed, you can go directly to Marketplace and start shopping.

STORE offers the full line of Dell computers through its link to Dell’s Premier site. Note: Purchases from STORE are limited to UCSD business use only. Personal purchases are not permitted.

There are 4 ways to order:

1. Order via the STORE online buying site. Purchase your Dell computer on your department index, so no purchase order is required.

Billing: STORE will not charge your index until you've received your order. To monitor purchases that qualify as inventorial equipment, be sure to create a STORE Spend Alert.

Equipment orders: If your order qualifies as inventorial equipment, STORE will automatically notify Equipment Management, who will provide you with UCID numbers and tags for the system.
