Walking and stretching are powerful health-management tools. FitWell presents "Walk & Stretch" outside Geisel Library (directly above the library entrance in front of the Snake Path's head) every Tuesday and Thursday from 10-10:40 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
It's a simple but effective workout: Briskly walk from your work site to the library, where you'll be met by a qualified instructor to guide you through a series of stretches for 10 minutes, after which you can briskly walk back to your work location.
Stretch sessions will start every 10 minutes from 10-10:40 a.m.
Take your walking to the next level with Nordic walking, which offers a total-body workout while reducing knee, back and hip strain. Find out about demonstrations and group Nordic walks for the UCSD community. You can also contact campus Nordic instructors Ronald Brogdon or Newell Whitfield for more information.
