2009 All Staff Picnic

Join the UCSD Staff Association and other members of UCSD for an annual picnic on Friday, Aug. 21, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Town Square.

Our theme this year: Celebrating Our Strengths

Do your part to be green. Bring your own mug or cup for beverages at the picnic to be part of the solution. Make sure to recycle and compost your waste properly at the picnic by separating your trash into the appropriate containers.

As an added bonus, bring your ticket stub with you to any Dining Services facility and receive one free refill in your reusable mug/ cup until Sept. 23, 2009.

• Date: Friday, Aug. 21, 2009
• Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
• Location: Town Square and Matthews Quad near the Student Services Center (map)
• Walk, carpool, or take the shuttle to the picnic.
  • Note: An additional clock-wise shuttle on the campus loop will be available from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. the day of the picnic. Check UC San Diego Shuttles for details on shuttle schedules.
  • Note: An additional shuttle between Hillcrest and UCSD will be added from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. the day of the picnic. A shuttle will be running every 15 minutes instead of every 30 minutes to facilitate staff picnic attendance.
• Transportation Services will not issue citations in the Hopkins and Gilman Parking Structures from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on 8/21/09. Picnic attendees may park in yellow S (student) or green B (staff) spaces in only those structures.

Tickets

Tickets are sold out. Due to an overwhelming response from UCSD staff, all 3,750 tickets have been distributed. If you have registered, remember to pick up your ticket on or before Aug. 19 by 4 p.m. at the UCSD box Office.

Bring your ticket and UCSD staff ID card with you to the picnic on Aug. 21. Tickets are not replaceable. Do not lose or misplace your ticket. Once you receive your ticket, write your full name, Mail Code, and/or phone extension on the back of EACH portion of the perforated ticket. When you attend the picnic, a volunteer will take the stub to enter you in a drawing for door prizes.

Note: Only UCSD staff who register for a ticket will receive a complimentary meal. Family members, staff who didn't register, faculty, students, and other guests may attend the festivities but must bring their lunch or buy food on campus.
