Breakfast details

Celebrate the holiday season with your family, friends and colleagues, and enjoy hot pancakes and sausages served to you by Chancellor Marye Anne Fox and other distinguished administrators. 

• Date: Wednesday, December 14, 2011
• Time: 6:30 – 9:00 a.m. (one seating)
• Location: Price Center West Ballrooms A & B (map)
• Cost: $7.50 for Staff Association members and non-members, or $12 for a ticket and Staff Association membership.
• Enter to win great giveaways. Staff Association members will be eligible to win a special prize given as the last drawing of the breakfast.
• Fourth Annual Artisan Craft Faire
  • Date: Wednesday, December 14, 2011
  • Time: 6:30 – 1:00 p.m.
  • Location: Price Center East Ballroom
• Complimentary parking will be available from 6:00–9:30 a.m. in metered spaces on Myers Drive and levels 1 and 2 in Gilman Parking Structure (map).

Tickets go on sale Nov. 28, 2011. Tickets are $7.50. Tickets can be purchased with cash or check (no recharge) from the following sellers:

Activities

Breakfast activities include:

• Prize drawings — winners need not be present to win
• UCSD Staff Association collections:
  • Gently used clothing for the Veterans Association

Shop at over 30 tables for unique handmade arts and crafts such as jewelry, hand-woven baskets, greeting cards, candles, ornaments, painted art, and more.

Donate a new, unwrapped toy during the Holiday Toy Drive, Nov. 28 - Dec. 14, collect them in your department, and bring to the Holiday Pancake Breakfast!

Toy suggestions

Suggestions for new toy donations (all toys and stuffed animals must be new and unwrapped):

• Infant gifts: developmental toys, rattles, musical toys, mobiles, stuffed toys
• Toddler and preteen gifts: dolls, trucks, crayons, finger paint, markers, coloring books, CDs, Disney movies, Wii, Playstation and Xbox games, large block Legos, wooden puzzles, board games
• Teen gifts: makeup, nail polish, lotions, sportswear, sports equipment, posters, movies, CD players with AC adapters

Please note:

This year, there will not be campus drop off locations for toys as there has been in recent years. We encourage departments to collect toys and bring them to the breakfast. We encourage staff to bring toys to the breakfast as you so generously do each year. We thank you in advance for your generosity.

Veterans' Association - Clothing drive to benefit Veterans Village San Diego.
Donations of food and gently used clothing will be greatly appreciated.

Chicano/Latino Staff Association (CLSA) – Food drive for Casa Familiar.
Casa Familiar, in cooperation with the Food Bank, distributes food to over 1500 families in the local area. Suggestions for donated food items are canned items, pasta, rice, cereal and peanut butter.
