Positions at UC San Diego are classified based on the duties and responsibilities assigned and exercised. As duties and responsibilities change, the position may be reclassified.

Job Matrices

To create a job description:

  • The Job Builder tool will be used to create job descriptions using the new Career Tracks titles
  • Customize the information to describe the individual position

Call Center

In the new Career Tracks system, the Call Center family of work is organized into different job specialties (called “functions”) in matrix format. Each matrix describes job responsibilities at different levels for non-represented positions.
