Overtime and Comp Time

The university has 2 types of overtime for eligible staff employees: straight and premium. Employees may receive either compensatory time off (comp time) or pay for overtime worked.
Conditions
- Only non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime. Exempt and non-exempt titles are identified in the Staff Title and Pay Plan.
- Overtime work must be approved in advance by your supervisor.
Rate
- Up to 40 hours of work in a given workweek is compensated at the straight time rate (1 hour for each hour worked).
- More than 40 hours of work in a given workweek is compensated at the premium rate (1.5 hours for each hour worked).
