How to Place a Claim on a Disbursements Check  
 
Summary: Use this guide to place a claim on a check that was issued by Disbursements. A claim can be placed on a check when the bank has cashed the check but the payee claims not to have cashed the check.

Note: The turnaround time for the bank to process a claim is generally four to six weeks. If the check was cashed in a foreign country, the turnaround time may be longer.
