Background: The Laboratory Technical Training program is funded by the Hispanic Center for Excellence and the Staff Equal Opportunity Enrichment Program.
Purpose: Laboratory Technical Training funding provides opportunities for UCSD employees to receive practical lab experience at no cost to the trainees or their departments. This program supports the increased diversity of laboratory personnel.
Availability: Training may begin at any time, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and some evenings to 6 p.m., based on the training desired. Training scheduled during the trainee's University work hours requires supervisor approval. Training outside of the trainee's normal work hours is voluntary and shall not be considered hours worked for compensation purposes.
