Effective April 1, 2008, 2 benefits plans will change names:

1. Blue Cross of California will become Anthem Blue Cross. This change affects UC-sponsored medical plans Blue Cross PLUS, Blue Cross PPO, and Core.
   • Anthem is the nation's largest health benefits company, and the Anthem name is used by 11 other health plans across the country.
   • The Web address for Anthem Blue Cross plans changes to http://www.anthem.com/ca.
   • Blue Cross PLUS, Blue Cross PPO, and CORE medical plan members will receive new identification cards and new Evidence of Coverage booklets in August, 2008.
2. Fidelity Investment Tax-Exempt Service Company (FITSCo) will change its name to Fidelity Retirement Services.
   • The new name better reflects the services provided by UC’s master recordkeeper.
   • Everything else remains the same, including the phone number (866) 682-7787, Web address (www.netbenefits.com), retirement counselors, and services.
