Foreign Currency Conversion Fees
| |
Summary: Find out about the conversion fee that is applied when you use the UCSD Travel Card in a foreign location. |
When you make a purchase in a foreign currency using the UCSD Travel Card, the charge is converted to U.S. dollars and a foreign currency exchange fee applies to the conversion. The exchange fee will be reflected on your statement.
The exchange fee is 2% of the converted charge.
You can claim the fee: List the exchange fee as a miscellaneous expense on the Travel Expense Voucher (TEV) after the trip concludes.
For exchange rates, see the Foreign Currency Converter.
