How to Get or Change a Network Username or Password  
 
Summary: UCSD affiliates use their network username and password to access services offered through ACT. These services include dial-in service, Web proxy server/ Web cache, and e-mail accounts located on popmail.ucsd.edu.
What to do How to do it
1 If your department has a network manager who handles network or e-mail services
  1. Contact your departmental network manager, and request a UCSD network username and password.
2 If your department doesn't have a person designated to administer network usernames or passwords
  1. Visit the combined ACS/ ACT Help Desk, Room 1313 of the Applied Physics and Mathematics (AP&M) building (map), 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  2. Bring either your UCSD picture ID or your driver's license and a letter on UCSD letterhead confirming your position.
