Desk phones: If you're ordering a new desk phone, UCSD offers six models to choose from. In the resources below, you can also find detailed information on all models, features, and costs:

Cell phones: UCSD offers five different cell phone providers. Employees may inquire about costs for both work-related and personal use. Helpful resources include:

Pagers: UCSD offers several alphanumeric pagers and one numeric pager. Both types of pagers come with a variety of service options and coverage areas. UCSD employees are also eligible for a special offer from Verizon for pagers for personal use. These resources will help you learn more about pagers:

Radios: Since 1997, UCSD has used a new radio technology called Motorola 800 MHz SMARTNET II PLUS, the most sophisticated communications system in its class. Check the following resources to learn more about this system and to investigate the types of radios available to UCSD employees:

Voice mail: UCSD voice mail packages offer a wide range of features that can help you work more efficiently and effectively. Check these resources:

Headsets: The Administrative, Computing, and Telecommunications (ACT) department offers headsets for use with desk phones.
