What to do
How to do it
1
Shut down the laser system.
Turn off the power source.

Provide medical assistance.
Eye injuries:
Keep the injured person's head upright and still to restrict any bleeding in the eye.
Immediately contact Shiley Eye Center
at (858) 534-6290 and follow their instructions.
After business hours, contact the emergency room:
On campus:

Non-eye injuries
Proceed directly to the emergency room:

Report the accident as soon as possible.

Your Area Safety Coordinator
Preserve the accident scene
for investigation by the Laser Safety Officer.

File a Workers' Compensation claim.
Notify the Workers' Compensation Office within one business day
after the accident. Call:
