Summary: When non-employees are on university property, they are also subject to substance abuse guidelines. |

Non-employees and nonstudents are not directly covered by University policies on substance abuse. However, all individuals on UCSD property are required to comply with the commitment to a campus community free from substance abuse. If a visitor is not complying with UCSD’s commitment, the visitor may be asked to leave.
Situations requiring immediate attention due to safety or criminal issues should be referred to the campus Police Department, (858) 534-4357, or the UCSD Medical Center Security Office, (619) 543-3762.
