Background:
- Exports: UCSD Shipping handles most outgoing shipments destined for foreign countries and then passes the shipment to Air Sea Forwarders, Inc., where the items are cleared through U.S. Customs and booked with a carrier for transport.
- Imports: Air Sea Forwarders, Inc. clears incoming goods from foreign countries through U.S. Customs and notifies UCSD Receiving when material is received. UCSD Receiving or Air Sea Forwarders, Inc. will:
- Notify departments when goods arrive
- Request payment and delivery information
