UCSD Self-Store provides:
- A perimeter-monitoring security system
- Accessibility seven days a week/ 24 hours a day
- A variety of unit sizes, ranging from 25 sq. ft. – 2,976 sq. ft.
- A combination lock for your storage space
- One-time, free move-in service performed by UCSD Moving Services
Rate per month: $.68 per sq. ft. Your department's index will be recharged monthly on your Marketplace Preview billing statement. To check your monthly charges, see How to Check Your Self-Store Charges.
Important: Hazardous material is not allowed in the self-store facility and the self-storage facilty is not available for personal use.
Space sizes and availability: UCSD Self-Store spaces are rarely vacant, and when a space becomes available, it is usually assigned to a department on a waiting list. See how to place your department on a waiting list.
Directions to UCSD Self-Store:
- From UCSD: Take La Jolla Village Drive east; La Jolla Village Drive will turn into Miramar Road; continue past the I-5 and I-805 freeways to Carroll Road (about 6 miles); turn left on Carroll; turn right on Kenamar Drive; turn right on Trade Street; proceed to the end of Trade; 7835 will be straight ahead.
- From I-15: Take the Miramar Road exit; go west on Miramar (about 3 miles); turn right on Carroll Road; turn right on Kenamar Drive; turn right on Trade Street; proceed to the end of Trade; 7835 will be straight ahead.
- From I-805: Take Miramar Road exit; go east on Miramar (about 2 miles); turn left on Carroll Road; turn right on Kenamar Drive; turn right on Trade Street; proceed to the end of Trade; 7835 will be straight ahead.
