Summary: Before you ship a package, review this page to find out about UCSD shipping services. Link from this page to more detailed information on these topics.

UCSD Shipping provides daily service for domestic and foreign shipments, advises on U.S. Customs documentation for import and export shipments, and processes hazardous materials shipments.

Packages weighing under 30 pounds: If your package does not contain hazardous materials, weighs under 30 pounds, and is shipped via UPS (United Parcel Service) or Federal Express, you may ship through:

Hazardous materials: UCSD conforms to strict government regulations when transporting hazardous materials. All outgoing shipments of infectious substances, diagnostic specimens, and other hazardous materials must be processed by the Shipping Department. Check these important descriptions to determine if your shipment contains hazardous materials:

Domestic shipments: If you plan to ship a package (non-hazardous materials) within the United States, follow these instructions:

International/ foreign shipments: If you plan to ship a package (non-hazardous materials) outside the United States, check these resources:
