Using the Travel Card for Online Transactions
|
|
| |
|
Summary: Learn how you can use the UCSD Travel Card online to obtain business travel services. |
|
Before you use the UCSD Travel Card for travel expenses, you must have a travel event number (preauthorization requirement). Learn about card management, including your responsibility for timely payment.
Online transactions: You can use the UCSD Travel Card online to obtain airfare, rent a car, reserve a hotel, and pay for conference registration:
- Indicate the form of payment as Visa; otherwise, charges may be declined.
- Use a specific billing address: Use your own Travel Card account billing address for online transactions. However, if you have trouble, try using the UCSD billing address:
- First line: 9500 Gilman Drive
- Second line: M/C 0955
- Third line: La Jolla, CA 92093
Reimbursement: If your bill is due before your travel event begins, pay the bill. After the trip concludes request reimbursement using MyTravel online or a paper Travel Expense Voucher (TEV). For additional information regarding prepayments: See Travel FAQ.
