If you're a visitor to UC San Diego, please follow these parking tips:
Weekdays:
You have 3 choices Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.:
- Park at a metered spot ($1 per hour).
- Purchase a "V" (Visitor) permit:
- Available at pay stations (in some parking lots or at the visitor information kiosks at the Gilman Drive and North Point Drive entrances) or at the main parking office in the Gilman Parking Structure (map)
- V permits cost $1 per hour, up to $7 for a full day.
- Park in any V, B, or S spot for the amount of time you have purchased. Refer to the permit for restrictions and guidelines.
- Purchase a One-Day permit:
- Available at the main parking office in the Gilman Parking Structure (map) and at pay stations in most parking lots
- One-Day permits cost $7.
- Park in any V, B, or S spot all day, and in A or metered spots after 4:30 p.m. or before 7:45 a.m. Refer to the permit for restrictions and guidelines.
Nights, weekends and holidays:
Parking is free on the main UCSD campus on Saturdays and Sundays, 11 p.m. – 7 a.m. weekdays, and during designated university holidays.
Park in any A, B, S, or metered space except those that post these limitations:
- A permit required 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
- Disabled
- Loading Zone
- Reserved
- Service Yard
- Special Event Reserved
- U.C. Vehicles only
