Emergency medical training (EMT) is available at UCSD from these sources:

UCSD Medical Center is designated by the American Heart Association (AHA) as a Community Training Center.
- Intended for healthcare providers, nurses, and instructors. Courses are open to everyone, including non-medical personnel.
- Courses include:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Note: BLS includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid.

- Intended for non-healthcare personnel and professional rescuers. Courses are open to everyone.
