Employees who may encounter asbestos while performing their job duties must receive asbestos awareness training before beginning work. This training is intended for:

Facilities Management maintenance, trades, and custodial personnel
- Housing & Dining Services maintenance employees
- Science departments' technical shop personnel
- Telecommunications technicians
Training is available when requested by departments. Contact EH&S Industrial Hygiene, (858) 822-1743 or 534-1075, to arrange training. Instruction time is 1 hour.
