Landscape Services  
 
Summary: Find out about the grounds and landscaping services that maintain and enhance the outdoor areas on campus. See a list of landscaping services and schedules.

The Landscape Services division of Facilities Management provides an aesthetically pleasing landscape conducive to learning and working. A base level of services is available for state-funded areas. Supplemental services are available at a charge to the customer.

Landscape Services staff perform a variety of services that beautify and preserve the campus landscape:

  • Turf maintenance
  • Irrigation with reclaimed water
  • Tree maintenance for approximately 155,000 trees on campus, focusing on hazard reduction, safety concerns, and aesthetic pruning
  • Exterior, horticulture pest control services for all landscaped areas 6 feet or more from exterior building walls. If you are experiencing pest problems in other areas, see How to Get Rid of Pests.
  • Hardscape maintenance, including ground-level walkways, pathways, plazas, parking lots and streets, benches/ tables, bike racks, bollards, drainage areas, flagpoles, and stairs (not associated with buildings)
  • Supplemental services available for extra cost, including the services of a landscape architect and landscape maintenance and construction crews
