How to Place a Call on Hold  
 
Summary: The common hold feature allows you to temporarily hang up the phone and then return to the call from another phone.

Note: The information on this page is generally applicable to most phone models at UCSD. You may need to check specific information about your phone and the features available to you.

What you should do How you should do it
1 Activate the hold feature.
  1. While you are on the call, press 8.
2 Retrieve the call you have placed on hold.
  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Press the access button (1 or 2) that corresponds with the call.
