Check the phone number.
Ensure that the number you are dialing is correct by comparing it to a reliable source.
Dial the phone as you normally would.
If you don't make a connection, proceed to the next step.
Press additional numbers.
Press 9 or the Dial Add'l Digits button before you dial additional digits, such as extensions or credit card numbers. This allows the additional digits to be processed.
