Callers Can't Hear Me
Summary:
When you answer your phone and the caller can't hear you, use this checklist to help solve the problem.
What to check
Why to check it
Check the mute button.
If the mute feature is activated during a call, the caller won't be able to hear you.
Check the handset cord.
If the handset cord is not securely plugged in at both ends, you won't be able to hear callers.
Check the wall jack.
The phone line must be plugged into a voice or phone jack. You won't be able to hear callers if your phone is plugged into a data jack.
