How to Pay for Document Fees  
 
Summary: Use these step-by-step instructions to request a direct payment or reimbursement for fees charged to obtain documents that you might need for resource or research purposes.
What to do How to do it
1 Gather information.
  1. For reimbursements, gather:
    • Payee's Social Security number (SSN)
    • Payee's name and address
    • Payee's visa type (if not a U.S. citizen)
    • Original receipt, including the amount charged for fees
  2. For direct payments, gather:
    • Vendor's Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN)
    • Vendor's name and address
    • ame of the person or department paying for the fees
2 Request payment.
  1. Follow the payment authorization instructions for Payment Authorization online.
