How to Forward Calls to an Off-Campus Number (external call forwarding)  
 
Summary: Use this step-by-step guide to forward incoming phone calls to an off-campus number.

Note: You must have Feature Package 3 to use external call forwarding.

Note: The information on this page is generally applicable to most phone models at UCSD. You may need to check specific information about your phone and the features available to you.

What to do How to do it
1 Activate the external call-forward feature.
  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Press * 2 3 # 8
  3. Enter the local destination number.
  4. Press #
  5. Replace the handset.
2 Cancel call forwarding.
  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Press # 2 3 #
  3. Listen for a normal dial tone.
  4. Replace the handset.
