How to Use ADA Transport

Task How to do it
Establish your eligibility.
Reserve a pickup time. Once you've been approved and have a login, you can reserve your pickup times online.
  • For trips a day or more in advance, use the online reservation service.
    • Reserve a single or recurring pickup time. Rides are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, so you may have to choose a pickup time that's earlier or later than your first choice.
  • For same-day service, call ADA Transport, (858) 822-2603 between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. weekdays, at least 30 minutes in advance. Same-day trips can be scheduled as long as a driver is available and your request doesn't interfere with scheduled rides.
  • If you need assistance, call ADA Transport, (858) 822-2603.
Change or cancel your reservation. It's your responsibility to be at your pickup location at the scheduled time. Drivers wait no longer than 5 minutes.
  • If an unexpected condition will cause you to be late or miss your pickup — for example, you are unable to find parking near your scheduled stop — call your driver's cell phone and explain. Providing the change doesn't disrupt the driver's ability to pick up the next passenger, you can arrange a different campus pickup location. Your driver's cell phone number is listed online with each scheduled pickup. Keep it handy in case you need to call.
  • To change a scheduled pickup, call ADA Transport, (858) 822-2603, between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. weekdays, at least 30 minutes in advance. Same-day trips can be rescheduled as long as a driver is available and your request doesn't interfere with scheduled rides.
  • To cancel a ride, call ADA Transport, (858) 822-2603, as early as possible, but at least 30 minutes in advance.
  • If you miss your ride without canceling, your transportation services will be suspended until you contact ADA Transport and request to be reinstated.
    • If you do not request reinstatement within a week of the missed ride, ADA Transport will permanently cancel your transportation services.
    • If you miss 4 rides, ADA Transport will permanently cancel your transportation services.
