Parking at Meters  
 
Summary: Find out the rules for parking at meters.
Rule Tips
Pay the correct fee.
  • The fee for meters is $1 per hour (coins only).
  • Parking is free at meters on weekends and from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., weekdays.
Use only meters that work properly.
  • Always view a broken meter as a posted no parking sign.
  • Never park at a meter that:
    • Displays a violation flag
    • Has a coin jam
    • Appears broken
Park front-end first in metered spaces.
  • Avoid the risk of backing into and damaging the meter and your vehicle.
