Free Parking: Weekends, Holidays, and Nights  
 
Summary: Find out when you can park in UCSD lots for free.
When parking is free Details
University-designated holidays Parking is free on university-designated holidays.
Weekends Parking is free on campus in A, B, S, and metered spaces on weekends.

Parking is not free where these signs are posted:

  • "A" permit required 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
  • Disabled
  • UC vehicles only
  • Service yard
  • Loading zone
  • Reserved
  • Special event reserved

Late nights Parking is free between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. weekdays. During those hours you may park without charge in any A, B, S, or metered space except where these signs are posted:
  • "A" permit required 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
  • Disabled
  • UC vehicles only
  • Service yard
  • Loading zone
  • Reserved
  • Special event reserved
Overnight parking is not allowed between 2 and 5 a.m. in the following areas:
  • Gilman Parking Structure (map)
  • Lot P406 (map)
  • Lot P502 (map)
Vehicles in these locations will be cited.
