MyFunds: How to Create Projects  
 
Summary: Fund managers, find out how to create projects in MyFunds.
What to do How to do it
1 Create a new project in MyFunds.
  1. Go to MyFunds.
  2. Select Manage My Projects.
  3. Select Create a new Project Number.
  4. Enter your group identifier. If you don't have one, contact your DSA for assistance.
2 Enter a project number and description.
  1. Project Number: Enter a combination of numbers and letters. The project number must be exactly eight characters.
  2. Description: Enter a description that is meaningful to you.
3 Enter fund manager and PI information.
  1. Manager Employee ID: Use the Mgr Name Look Up button to look up the fund manager's name (even your own). This will populate the field with the correct employee ID (without leading zeroes).
  2. Manager Name: Enter the fund manager's name.
  3. PI Employee ID: Use the PI Name Look Up button to look up the PI's name. This will populate the field with the correct employee ID (without leading zeroes).
  4. PI Name: Enter the PI's name.
Note: If you are creating a project for a report for your own viewing, enter yourself as the PI.

4 Enter index information.
  1. Enter at least one index number for the project.
5 Save the project.
  1. Click Save Project.
