Cost Sharing System: How to Run a View Budgets Query  
 
Summary: Find out how to run a view budgets query in the Cost Sharing System (CSS).
What to do How to do it
1 Go to the View Budgets function in FinancialLink.
  1. Go to the Cost Sharing System in FinancialLink.
  2. Go to the Reports screen.
  3. Choose the Cost Sharing Home Page option under Cost Sharing.
  4. Select Misc. Queries.
  5. Select View Budgets.

You must have a valid User ID to access the Cost Sharing System. If you don't have a User ID, contact your departmental security administrator (DSA) for assistance.

Note: CSS is case-sensitive. Enter financial information in all caps.
2 Enter report parameters.
  1. Fund: This field is required.
  2. Organization and Program: If budgets were entered with organization and program, they should be entered here.
  3. Click Submit Form.
Use the Find Fund/ Award/ Org/ Prog button to find information sorted by fund number. Use the Find Award/ Fund/ Org/ Prog button to find information sort by award number.

3 Get the report.
  1. Report heading: Click the icons under the report heading to save, print, or e-mail the report.
  2. Budget Information: The report shows all information entered for a budget including the remaining balance (budget amount minus all the transactions gathered).
  3. Budget order: Budgets are listed by
    • Status:
      • A Active
      • C Complete
      • I Inactive
    • Type:
      • PR Payroll
      • NP Non-payroll
      • EQ Existing equipment
      • MC Miscellaneous
