How to Place an Order Through Print Connection

Summary: Find out how to place an order through Print Connection, Imprints' online ordering system.
Note: You must temporarily disable any pop-up-blocking software before submitting your order to Print Connection.

If this is your first order, set up an account. |
- Go to Print Connection and click Sign up.
- Complete the account registration form, using your UCSD e-mail address and a password you create.
The account information you enter will be used to complete the top portion of all job tickets. You can access your account at any time to make changes.

- Choose the correct print service for your order:
- Select one digital file:
Select this if you are submitting an electronic file (except large-format color and posters or banners)
- Select one large-format file:
Select this if you are submitting an electronic file for large-format color jobs, including signs, posters, and banners.
- Submit hard copy:
Select this if you are not submitting an electronic file. You can fill it out online and print out a hard copy. See How to Order a Copy or Laser Print Job for submittal information and to download a PDF version of the job ticket.

Select the electronic file to submit. |
- Click Browse and find the file you want to submit. Print Connection can accept digital files in these formats:
- Word (.doc)
- Excel (.xls, .xlc, .xlt, .xlw)
- PowerPoint (.ppt, .pps)
- Publisher (.pub)
- Most PDF formats (.pdf)
- Postscript (.ps)
- Rich text format (.rtf)
- Plain text (.txt, .text)
Note: The extension must be part of the file name.
- Double-click the file to attach it.
- Print Connection will convert your file into a PDF format for an online preview.
- Click the PDF file to preview it for accuracy. If you are satisfied with the conversion, click I Approve.
- If you are not satisfied with the preview of your document, click I Do Not Approve and follow the instructions in the dialog box.
If submitting hard copy, you will instead be asked for the number of original pages.

Complete the job ticket. |
- Fill in all required fields, including date due, quantity requested, paper type/weight, etc.
- Provide any additional information at the bottom of the form.
- Review the information and make any changes.
Your requested delivery date and time is subject to approval by Imprints.

Submit your order. |
- Click Finish to send your order to Imprints.
- You will receive an e-mail confirmation with a link to your order for your review.
