How Vendors Should Address a Same-Day Delivery Package
Summary: When you place an order with a vendor and you need the package delivered the same day it's ordered, follow the instructions below and ask the vendor to address the package directly to your location.
Background: UCSD's Receiving Department is the primary delivery location for incoming packages as required by UCSD policy. The Receiving Department protects your packages from damages and shortages, and deals with any freight claims. Packages requiring same-day delivery, however, can be delivered directly to your campus location.

Let the vendor know that you require same-day delivery.
Contact the vendor and discuss your delivery requirements.

Give the vendor your location address.
Give the vendor the following address information:
Name of contact person or person receiving goods
Department and phone number
Room number and building name
Purchase order number, if any
