Voice Mail and Phone Features  
 
Summary: Learn about voice mail features that can be used in conjunction with desk phones to divert and forward calls and to send a voice mail response.
What to do How to do it
1 Divert all your calls.
  1. In the usual setup your incoming calls divert to voice mail when you don’t answer them, or when your line is busy. Press * 2 # or press your call diversion button (available on some phone models) to divert all calls directly to voice mail. Your phone will not ring until you cancel this feature.
  2. To cancel this feature, press # 2 # and hang up, or release the call diversion button.
Note: Call diversion re-routes your calls to another specific extension number (voice mail, for example).
2 Forward all your calls.
  1. If you've set up your voice mail so that your incoming calls divert to a different extension when you don’t answer them, press * 2 * 42000 or 48000 # to forward all your calls directly to voice mail. (Call forwarding will override call diversion, so your phone will not ring until you cancel this feature).
  2. To cancel this feature, press # 2 # and hang up.
Note: You must have feature package 1 to use this call-forward feature.
3 Forward your voice mail to e-mail.
  1. You can forward an audio copy of your voice mail messages to your e-mail account. See instructions.
4 Send a reply to a voice mail message.
  1. When you listen to a voice mail message, you may reply by sending a voice mail message in return. Just press 1, then follow the voice prompts.
