How to Install JStunnel for Mac OS 8 or 9  
 
Summary: You must secure access to the ACT mainframe by configuring your software to use a protocol for protecting data. If you have TN3270 software from Brown University on your Macintosh computer with Operating System 8 or 9, follow the steps below.
What to do How to do it
1 Install JStunnel.
  1. Start the download, and choose the folder where you want to save it.
    Note: Be sure to remember the name of the folder where you saved the file.
  2. Close the Download Manager window.
  3. Double-click JSTunnel Installer in the folder where you saved it.
  4. Click Continue on the InstallerMaker screen.
  5. Choose the folder where you want to install it.
  6. Click Yes when the restart warning appears. When the installation is complete, click Restart.
2 Modify TN3270 for Mac OS 8 or 9 from Brown University.
  1. Start TN3270.
  2. Enter 127.0.0.1 as the hostname.
  3. Click Open Connection.
  4. Click File at the top and Save Default Settings. The Save Host Name box must be checked (window position is optional).
  5. Click OK.
  6. You now have a secure connection. Future access will automatically use the secure protocol. You may notice a slight delay when you open the session.
