Inside Academics:
Organic chemistry for the YouTube generation
No matter how long they pore over their lab manuals, students feel anxious when they step into a science laboratory. Now a series of dynamic videos created by undergraduate students at the University of California, San Diego is helping them relax and focus on what really matters — the science behind the experiment.

Winter Quarter 1-unit seminars
One-unit seminars are being offered during 2008 Winter Quarter for both seniors and freshmen. Build connections with faculty in small classes (20-student limit). Seminars are graded pass/ not pass, and are designed to focus on discussion.

Dine with a prof
The popular Dine With a Prof program continues this year, helping UCSD students and faculty interact outside the classroom through lunches at the Faculty Club.

Scripps Undergraduate Education
The Scripps Institution of Oceanography has expanded its educational opportunities for undergraduates, offering majors in Earth Sciences and a minor in Marine Science. To enroll in courses, go to SIO in the Schedule of Classes.
